Cake Mix Chocolate Chip Cookies

A chocolate chip cookie recipe so easy your kid can do it!

Ingredients
  

  • 1 box Yellow Cake Mix (any brand)
  • 1/3 cup Butter softened
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 cup chocolate chips

Instructions
 

  • Open cake mix and dump into a medium size bowl
  • Add butter, vanilla, and eggs. Beat with an electric mixer on medium speed until well combined and smooth
  • Add chocolate chips and fold in with a spatula or spoon.
  • Set oven to preheat 350, and while the oven prepares - put the cookie mixture bowl into the fridge to cool (this is my secret pro tip! Keeps cookies soft and stops the dough from spreading)
  • Drop by rounded tbspfuls (or mini ice cream scooper) on a cookie sheet covered in parchment paper/baking mat about 2 inches apart
  • Bake for 9-11 minutes. Remove and let sit on baking sheet for 2 minutes before moving to a wire rack
